So much has happened since my last post about starting a new job. I guess you can say that I have been super busy, and that is an understatement. Not long after starting my job as a manager, a new life changing event happened. On October 8th, I gained another name, Gigi…because I’m too cool to be called grandma. Just kidding. Kinda. LOL 🙂 Yes, I now have a beautiful grandson who is now 6 months old, Liam Kai. To say that I am in love with this child would not describe the feelings that I have every time I look at him. I hate that he lives in Florida, and that I live in Tennessee, but I was able to be there for his birth and I will be there whenever he needs me. Always. I have made several trips to Florida and my son and his girlfriend have been able to bring Liam to see me a couple of times. My son is such a wonderful person and seeing him change into a father before my eyes has been amazing. Liam has two parents that love him very much and that is the most important thing any child needs. Love. It is what shapes us and helps us to become the person God has created us to be.
We are an expression of God’s love on the earth and when we love our children unconditionally, we are displaying the character of God to them. It’s amazing how much more you learn about the true meaning of unconditional love when you have a child, and a grandchild.
